Amid all this heat, I can’t help but think about anything refreshing to conjure a brain freeze. Ice, snow, marble slabs… anything to take the edge off. All white spaces seem to do the trick, as well as feed my inner design addict. A neutral, monochromatic room has the potential of being boring and dated, but the spaces below are fresh, calm and most importantly, inspired.
The use of a warm off white (white with yellow or red undertones) and textured elements, such as white-washed bricks coupled with black furniture pieces, not only makes the space warm and inviting, but it also gives the space personality.
A cool white (pure white or white with blue undertones) and lots of natural light make spaces feel airy. You can ground the space with deep earthy colors like the reds and purples seen in this living room.
