Centuries old, the enduring substance and weight of brick walls has certainly not lost its structural appeal…

A brick is described as a block or single unit of a ceramic material used in masonry construction, usually stacked together, or laid using various kinds of mortar to hold the bricks together and make a permanent structure. True bricks are ceramic, and are created by the action of heating and cooling. Typically produced in common or standard sizes in bulk quantities, bricks typically contain ingredients such as Silica (sand), Alumina (clay), Lime, Iron Oxide and Magnesia as well as shale, soft slate, calcium silicate, concrete or can even be shaped from quarried stone.
